Okunote contributed to the development of a versatile 3-in-1 piece of furniture born from the "YAOYA PROJECT," an initiative aimed at showcasing the craftsmanship of Yao City to the entire nation. This innovative product serves as a xylophone, a child’s chair, and a step stool, designed with the intention of being passed down across generations. Every detail was carefully crafted to ensure durability and lasting value.
The design redefines the typical image of children’s products, focusing on simplicity and sophistication. With a combination of solid wood and iron, the furniture harmonizes seamlessly with modern interiors. Subtle musical note motifs on the iron legs add a touch of playfulness to its stylish form.
The xylophone, the centerpiece of this product, is crafted and tuned by Korogi Corporation, a renowned manufacturer of professional-grade xylophones. This ensures that children experience authentic, high-quality sound that nurtures their sensory development. The seat and legs, handcrafted by skilled artisans, embody a commitment to introducing truly exceptional products into daily life.

八尾市のものづくりの魅力を全国に発信する「YAOYA PROJECT」から生まれた、3WAYの多機能家具の開発に携わりました。この家具は、木琴、子ども椅子、踏み台として使用でき、世代を越えて使い続けることを目指した製品です。素材や品質にこだわり、親から子、そして孫へと受け継がれるような設計を心がけました。
デザイン面では、子ども用品の従来のイメージを覆すシンプルかつ洗練されたスタイルを追求しました。無垢材とアイアンを組み合わせた落ち着いたデザインは、インテリアにも馴染みやすく、脚部にはさりげなく音符をモチーフとするなど、遊び心も盛り込まれています。
特に木琴部分には、一流の楽器メーカーである株式会社こおろぎ社の技術を採用し、プロ仕様の音色と品質を実現。幼少期の感性を磨くため、単なるおもちゃではなくホンモノの楽器としての価値を大切にしました。座面や脚部は職人が一点ずつ手作りし、本当に良いものを暮らしに取り入れていただきたいという想いを込めています。
